The program design for Northeast Texas Treatment Center uses a multi-disciplinary approach. Disciplines involved are criminal justice, chemical dependency treatment, family counseling, experiential learning activities, adult education, nutrition, life skills, physical and leisure education, and spiritual development. The goal is for the resident to become a law abiding and sober member of society.
Northeast Texas Treatment Center offers a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation by providing the necessary materials, as well as experienced and trained personnel to assist the resident in addressing individual thinking errors and behaviors. After being screened, most substance abusing offenders will be given the opportunity to participate in a residential program that is a structured, community oriented, and caring environment. This allows work to be done to correct thinking and behaviors, establish a positive support system for reintegration, and develop a plan of action needed to return to the community to lead a life without criminal thinking and behaviors. The program will be delivered in a manner that is consistent with the ability and learning style of each resident and follows the theory of evidence based practices that reduce recidivism for offenders.
