Introduction
The Rusk County Substance Abuse Treatment Facility known as Northeast Texas Treatment Center is a residential facility that houses adult males and females placed on community supervision and exhibiting evidence of alcohol/drug abuse. Northeast Texas Treatment Center receives its funding through a diversionary program grant. The program accepts adult males and females placed on community supervision for felony offenses, excluding felony assault or any type of sex offense. The facility has a capacity to serve up to fifty male offenders and twenty female offenders at any given time. The Center is designed as a rehabilitative alternative to incarceration in jail or prison.
